Positive Discipline Parenting 6-Week Course

July 15 – August 19, 2022  Friday's 8:00 - 10:00pm ET

Positive Discipline is the foundation which Montessori is built upon. It supports children’s cognitive, social, and emotional development while teaching life skills in a nurturing environment.

Included in this purchase is a beautifully illustrated, 50-page Positive Discipline Workbook. Classes are fun, interactive, and experiential- your current parenting challenges become part of curriculum for the course! Participants will find accountability, community, and support- where you’ll discover you’re not the only with struggles! 

Topics Covered
  • Why punishment and rewards don’t work- and what to do instead!
  • Kind and firm parenting tools that empower children and help them learn for the future (instead of pay for the past).
  • Learn how to identify what Mistaken Goal a child is operating from.
  • Understand motivation behind misbehavior and how to encourage positive change.
  • The two primary goals of all children- and what we can do to aid children in reaching them.

Payment Options
  • Full Course: One-time payment of $135.00 for the full 6-week course for one person. Workbook included (PDF if outside of US).
  • Half Course: For participants who are unsure about a 6-week commitment or want a lower price point. $85.00 purchases the first half of the course and a workbook (submit $50.00 anytime to finish out the course if desired).
  • Full Course with Partner Add-on: For an additional $40, this optional add-on is a limited time discount for partners to join the 6-week course. You and your partner can take the course at the same time. Or your partner can take a future course separately from you. Partner add-on is limited to 1 year.

Hello! First things first, I have two beautiful boys, 8 & 10 years old. When they were young, I became a Lead Toddler Teacher at a fully accredited AMS Montessori School, where my boys attended. I loved working in the classroom and having the opportunity to deepen my understanding of Montessori pedagogy while sharpening my respectful discipline skills with toddlers. I learned a lot, and I enjoyed sharing it with the parents of my students! I soon discovered how much I loved parent education- I literally counted down the days to teacher-parent conferences! After Covid furloughed me, we found out homeschooling was a great fit for us- it has been an unexpected and wonderful journey! I became a Certified Positive Discipline Parent Educator so I could continue my passion for helping parents cultivate cooperation and self-discipline within their own child, while treating them with dignity and respect.
