Description

The Montessori Births Course consists of two parts.

Part 1. Montessori From the Beginning

In this presentation we will explore life within the first prepared environment, and how pregnancy is a collaborative experience between mother and baby—a journey of communication, connection, and discovery. We will consider the ancient preparation for birth during pregnancy, which is unique to each woman and unborn child and involves what we know, as well as opening to the unknown processes of labor and birthing.

I will share my experience of labor and birth, and how I, as a Montessori birth attendant, observe, respect, and serve women and babies as they transition into life together after birth.

Part 2. The Environment of Life After Birth

After our baby is born we exist in a timeless world of wonder, as we discover ourselves as mother/child, in experiences of collaboration.

Join me to explore the months following birth, as your infant interacts within the environment of your family. When you and your baby move naturally through a process of attachment and acceptance in this new outer life.

We will explore the needs of the newborn, living in the period of the Unconscious Mind, and the Sensitive Periods, as well as areas of care in the home environment, which centers on relationship and connection, which is essential and ongoing.
